🎤 Mickey Joe Wright – The Long Road Home
Mickey Joe Wright’s journey from Southern rock front-man(with The Meteors) to Redemptive Rock pioneer reads like a country song soaked in truth.
Raised in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Mickey grew up with a guitar in one hand and the spirit of rebellion in the other. He formed Mickey and the Meteors in high school and took the Red Dirt and Southern Rock scene by storm while attending Oklahoma State University in Stillwater. Just as the band was gaining traction, the events of 9/11 shook the world—and Mickey’s path. Fueled by patriotism and a need for purpose, he left college and music behind to enlist in the U.S. Army.
During his deployment in Iraq, Mickey released “Tired and Weary Soldier,” a raw, heartfelt anthem that would later resurface as a cornerstone of his redemption arc. After returning home to a scattered band and fading fame, Mickey reconnected with his Meteors for one final run, moving to Nashville and recording the critically acclaimed album “Catch a Falling Star”. The album’s closing track, “After the Fall,” marked the beginning of something deeper stirring in his soul.
(Mickey Joe Wright is the alter ego project of Songwriter and Producer, Dennis Dyer. Dyer owns Red River Productions, Red River Records and the Demo Lab Studio in Oklahoma. He became interested in AI Tools to help increase his workflow in the studio. Then after hearing the Randy Travis and Beatles releases utilizing AI Tools, he decided to pursue using the same tools to finish a few older songs he had in the can. By uploading them to an online program it became clear that he could create the character of MJW and live vicariously through that character. Both have parallel pasts and experiences. So being totally up front and transparent about the beginnings of this project is our goal. Dyer also created a trademark called AIAC™(AI Assisted Content) to tag all projects in order to be transparent about the use of these tools in the production of the content and media. ALL songs, Lyrics, and Tune, are produced by Dyer prior to engaging with AI Tools. Mixing and Mastering done in ProTools and UA Tools and eMastered. We hope you enjoy this fantasy with us.
